Annie is one of the students from the SAS (www.semesteratsea.com) group of volunteers. When I first laid eyes on all these college kids, I was prepared for problems: some had green hair, some had tattoos, some had their bodies pierced in places I don't want to think about. But I was forced to change my thinking: They were absolutely wonderful, hard-working, altruistic and caring students who are determined to change the world for the better.
